My Philosophy and Approach to Family Portraits

At Goldie Lynn Imagery, I understand how important family portraits are and I’m passionate about capturing photos that truly reflect who you are. I approach family portraits with minimalism, ensuring that your family remains the focus. Simplicity in family portraits allows the true emotions and connections to be the focus. This makes each image that much more timeless and meaningful.

To achieve this, I recommend wearing matching solid colors (black or white) and photographing against a matching backdrop. We eliminate distracting colors, patterns, and settings so that were able to create both intimate and emotional portraits that highlight the connection between you and your family.

Don’t worry about posing—I will guide you through the entire process, so you’ll know exactly what to do. You can feel confident knowing that I’ll capture the best angles, showing everyone clearly and in their best light.

For simple matching outfits with a wide range of options, I recommend checking out Gap and Amazon. They both offer great options in black or white for the whole family.

Just the kids

Of course, we’ll also capture beautiful portraits of your little ones! For older siblings under 8 or those who can’t hold their newborn sibling while standing, we’ll photograph them lying down. This ensures that your newborn is safely supported. My assistant will be there to keep a close eye on your baby while I focus on capturing the perfect shot!
