Nora’s mom and I started planning her newborn session early! Miss Nora gave her mom and dad a little surprise at their 20 week appointment where they found out she had a cleft lip. Now a newborn session was already on the table but now they knew it wasn’t a maybe. Nora’s parents knew it was especially important to them to document her before any surgeries. They wanted to showcase their baby girl in the perfect way God gave them to her.

We got her newborn session design consultation scheduled and started the planning process! We talked about colors, her nursery theme, how they like to decorate, and so much more! Newborn sessions have a lot of flexibility in styling which makes the design consultation a very important part of the planning process.

Nora’s mom really loves the look of jewels tones with some neutrals sprinkled in. She also loves Winnie The Pooh so we added a subtle hint of a honey pot. Nora is also a rainbow baby so we added in a rainbow headband to the mix. Lastly, detail photos! Never want to forget those tiny details of your newborn.

Nora was a perfect angel during her newborn session. Even big brother Charlie did awesome! I know sometimes my moms worry about how their older child(ren) will do. It can be a stressful part of the newborn session process. But in my time working with little ones I have learned a lot of tricks. Sometimes all it takes is some goldfish and the art of face swaps. Either way we’ll make sure we get that oh so special photo of your kiddos together!

I wish I could give infinite stars to Goldie, but 5 will have to suffice. We had my daughter’s newborn session with her and I am beyond grateful to her for capturing such beautiful portraits. She made the entire process stress free and went at a comfortable pace for our daughter and family. I love the amount of thought she put into each pose, and the fact that she captured something so timeless. I am so thankful that we went with her for our daughter’s newborn photos.
